I'm Yuriy, a board-certified psychiatric NP working with adults across New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Before specializing in mental health, I spent years as a specialty RN across a range of medical settings, from intensive care and acute care to outpatient dialysis and home health visits, covering units across the hospital. That grounding in physical health shapes how I treat the whole person. Over the past 18 years I've practiced in multidisciplinary teams at the U.S. Department of Defense, the VA, SUNY Downstate, and Mount Sinai, and for the last nine I've worked on my own, across both the clinical and operational sides of psychiatric care. I precept students and trainees, I've finished a few certificate programs in healthcare tech and operations, and I care as much about how care is delivered as what gets prescribed.

Good treatment is a partnership. You know your life better than anyone; my job is to bring the clinical piece and work it out alongside you, not hand you a prescription and move on. (Sometimes medication is the right call, and often it's the reason people come to see me in the first place.)

I'm also glad to connect for clinical coordination, questions, seminars, mental health and neurodivergence workshops, small business counseling, or community presentations. YMCA, JCC, and public school talks across NJ and NYC are always free.

Outside all of this I'm a husband, a dad, the oldest of my siblings, and someone who speaks a few languages and is slowly learning Portuguese (badly).
